    Well, I'm back in business!

I spent a few more minutes Googling about solutions and was about to uninstall the errant device in Device Manager and see if maybe Windows would try to reinstall, but before trying that I thought I'd unplug all my USB devices first. I'm travelling for the next few days so the only USB device I have plugged in is a Logitech Unifying Receiver for an external mouse.

I unplugged the receiver, power cycled and when I logged back in to Windows Bluetooth was back in Device Manager and all devices seem okay. I plugged the Logitech receiver back in and now that's functioning now too.

So it could be that the Logitech receiver is failing or the Bluetooth card is failing or it's just an odd quirk that I haven't run into yet. I'll keep an eye on things.

Thanks for helping out. You gave me a few ideas to try.

    :)
If you want to buy the Dell power adapter for the 7530 it’s this one:

    450-AHDJ
    https://www.dell.com/en-us/work/shop/dell-power-adapter-180-watt-74mm/apd/450-ahdj/pc-accessories

I bought it as needed a second one for travel and it’s identical to the one that comes with the laptop. Not cheap but oh well business expense :)

So, I installed WHQL driver 417.17 in an attempt to try and see if G-Sync would work on the Precision... no dice, even on discrete graphics mode.

If INF is already in the drivers. No need. Try without inf mod first.

The function doesn’t work on all panels. You should see it if it works in Nvidia Control Panel.

On one of our 7710 we had a very slight whine sound. It wasn't present on our other 7710. It wasn't loud, but it drove me nuts. I was certain that it was coil whine. They replaced the motherboard, but the whine remained. I thought it had to do with power delivery or somthing like that. It only happened after the system had been running for at leat 5 minutes, prior to 5 minutes it would not make the whine noise. The technician said it was likely a fan. We ordered replacment heatsink assembly and the noise has not returned and that was about a year ago.

I can already install the driver without the INF mod; what else should I do?
