Looks like they pulled it. That link was working yesterday, I downloaded and installed it without issue.

Can someone who has the 7730 with an i7 comment on how loud or quiet their laptop is under normal web browsing with maybe 7-8 tabs open... and maybe one other program open in the background?

I have a Clevo here and the fans are annoying... while my Dell 5570 Latitude is dead quiet all the time... often wondered if it even had fans.

Do you use the Samsung NVMe driver?

I had occasional BSODs with that driver on resume from hibernate. Fixed by using the Microsoft NVMe again.

    7730 with an i9 here.
It gets loud when it engages the quadro or pushes the CPU, but for regular browsing or document writing I consider it practically inaudible. Especially in the open office landscape I'm usually working in.
Once you start pushing the hardware though, it gets quite loud. The sound isn't particularly annoying though.

Quiet, as long as I leave the Windows Power Plan "Balanced" enabled. With "High performance" the fans kick in after a few minutes.

Agreed that the fan is totally tolerable under a light workload. I'll throw in that you'll want to make sure that PCI express link state power management is set to "maximum power savings" in Windows advanced power options. (I think that this is the default for the "balanced" power plan.) If it is not then the fan seems to kick up a lot more often.

Thanks for the info on the fans. I have a 5520 Latitude now and it is dead silent nearly all the time. Of course it's not near what the Precision is. I purchased a Clevo 17" and it's annoyingly louder than I like... and I can't hear that well, but my wife can hear it across the room. It runs even with general browsing in Firefox... and puts out a good bit of heat. Hoping the Precision will be somewhat better.

Nope, I haven't installed the Samsung driver. Are you just letting Windows do it's thing or did you install a separate Microsoft driver?
