    hi guys

I finally got the laptop again, this time with all proper ports (usb-c) but I have an issue... i tried a nice usb-c cable and a usb-c adapter but it doesn't go all the way in...

is this how it should be? if not, then what could be wrong?

    thank you

The black plastic of my plug of the Thunderbolt dock has to touch the chassis of the notebook. The sockets are all a little tight, especially the USB ones.
I would wiggle a little bit and press with a little force and feeling to see if it goes in all the way.

I've found that these machines often come with "tight" ports. I've had this with USB, HDMI, and even the headphone port on multiple machines. If you plug/unplug stuff enough times it will loosen up.

I got it connected and now my laptop sees my hd via usb-c plugged into docking station. I can move files off it, but as soon as I start atto and it initializes.. my desk disappears. I wonder if that cable is not designed for this?? not sure what else it can be

The 7510, 5510, and 7710s show up at pretty random intervals, and generally get snapped up in 30 sec or so. I did a bunch of refreshing and finally found one that works for me. The catch is that the outlet doesn't list whether or not it has USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 on it; I had to chat with a sales rep and wait 5-6 minutes while he sorted it out. You could always purchase it and do the chatting/checking later if it's after hours.

Can anyone explain how does international warranty work? As I understand, on-site warranty = international warranty, but it cost a lot of extra. Some say that you can transfer Basic NBD warranty. Does it mean that if PC was purchased in one country I can transfer warranty to another country and get full warranty support? Has anyone tried it and can anyone share their experience?

Well, I gave in and ordered one. i7-6820HQ, 32GB RAM (2x16), Quadro M2000M, 1080p IPS screen, 91whr battey, backlit keyboard, fingerprint reader, 1TB HDD. I had to fight them to get a couple hundred off. :D Also chose Ubuntu to save $90 (already have Windows licence)
$1651 plus tax. I thought I could have done a little better but it's too late now.
Planning to get a 500GB Samsung 950 Pro PCI-e SSD ($317 on Newegg)
Hopefully I won't be disappointed because otherwise it goes back.
