I finally got my 7510 today! Hooray!

Have any of you guys noticed your screens getting hot? I've got the 1080p touchscreen, and I was just noticing that my screen gets pretty warm on the bottom edge (near the hinge). I've never encountered that on a laptop before, so I'm wondering if that might be an indication of a problem. My brother seems to think it's just heat from the CPU migrating upward, but that seems odd to me, considering the fact that the case itself is significantly cooler than the screen.

@buffgato Had the screen bottom heat with an older model too (M4300, amount of heat depending on brightness). The 8 year old screen still works without any problems.

Is your load multithreaded? 3.8 GHz is the maximum speed for a single core load. If you are putting load on all of the cores, it will be a little bit lower max speed.

My order of 7510 got cancelled without any reason two days prior to the revised delivery date....

2/23 placed the order with est. delivery date of 3/7
    3/4 change delivery to 3/11
    3/9 order status showed cancelled...

My first encounter with dell precision and I'm now looking into P50.

Can someone point out the downsides of P50 compared to 7510? Many thanks!

The screen is the big negative from the reviews I've read. Carefully weigh that.

Huge Lenovo fan, but I'd really have to agree. You'd almost need the 4k screen to get 'decent' color accuracy, and then your getting hit with pvm unless at above 60% brightness. Don't get me wrong it's not a total crap screen, but it's something you'd expect out of a budget notebook.

But if the screen doesn't matter much to you then the p50 is still a solid machine. With alot of owners extremely happy with it.

    Good Morning,

My order of 7510, first was scheduled for 04/03, but in that day (04/03/16), I received an information about the situation of shows that will be delivered on 10/03/16 (Status: In production).
According the information obtained by Dell, the delays were due to break sotck the power supplies of this model.
It has been a tremendous headache, as did the request on 03/02/16, after repeated delays'll see if this will be the final date.

    Let's see

    Got mine 7510 today...

Just a side note - UKMail is the 2nd worst delivery company I've seen (only Yodel is worse).

I placed my original 7510 order on 2/18 with a delievery date of 3/1. They cancelled the first order and gave me a new date of 3/17. They then cancelled the second order and gave me a new order with a delivery date of 3/16.

Needless to say after the second cancellation, I contacted my rep and complained. They just shipped out my 7510 today! Nearly a week ahead of schedule. Still 2 weeks late but better than 3 weeks late.
