    Only recently, the Thunderbolt option appeared on the Dell ordering pages.

    For some CPUs you can choose either 'with Smart Card and Thunderbolt 3' or 'with no Smart Card or Thunderbolt 3'.

    For some CPUs there is only one option ('with Smart Card and Thunderbolt 3').

    well. looks like i am 10 days early with my order, so must return/get it back.

    other thing bugs me in hdmi on the side... i would have much preferred it on the back...

    do you have a dell smb link for where smart cart is not required?

    You can try calling Dell sales to order a 7510 with Thunderbolt, but without the smartcard. Maybe they can manually configure a 7510 this way. Using the Dell website, you can't.

    will do. I have to make sure i get my gift card balance back too... this would be a good test to see how good dell smb is.

    is there any review for this 7510? compare with p50 thinkpad?

    Dell Precision 7510 is definitely better than Lenovo P50: display, case, cooling system.

    The only issue with Dell is this "Thunerbolt 3/USB-C story".

    Anyone with Xeon cpu ordered with non-ecc ram? Is there any problem with upgrading it later to ecc ram?
