    I think you're asking too much. Dell doesn't have to support anything but the hardware you bought from them, in the region it was purchased. I'm fairly certain these are the terms of sale and warranty terms you agreed to when purchasing.

    So perhaps be more aware of the limitations of support when you plan to install parts yourself and buy from another region to save money?

    WWAN card I am using is made by Dell and is designed to be used with 7510. So, Dell should support its hardware. Dell gives worldwide warranty, I have verified it by two independent sources before purchasing it.

    There is no need to speculate if you do not know the circumstances and the details.

    Just to be clear, is this the Dell DW5811E or the DW5816E and which driver version?

    @ygohome,
    It is DW5811E and I use the latest drivers available (version 7.33.4624.503).

    @ygohome,
    The About window of Skylight says it is Build 4477 (6.0.4477.8203).

    There is a newer version of the application dated Jan 2017

    Capture.PNG

    but shows it is for windows 7. Which windows version are you running? I'd try latest version of the application and then also maybe experiment with windows compatibility settings.

    @ygohome,
    Thank you. Where did you find that list? When I go to Dell's Drivers & Downloads page I only get to choose Dell Wireless 5811e LTE Mobile Broadband Driver and GPS Driver bundle that installs drivers and software (Skylight). Only after googling for that version number I was able to find it and download it.

    Unfortunately, it did not fix the problem. I am using Windows 8. Skylight itself is working fine on this version of Windows.

    I wish there was a third party program that could communicate with my WWAN card and allow to send/receive text messages, this way I could prove that it is a software bug. For example, I have a text message sent from a service provider that I have saved into the SIM card, mobile phone can read it correctly but Skylight cannot.

    select your system then it shows relevant applications, drivers and firmware downloads. You could try experimenting with some of the previous versions of the communication manager (skylight program). But yeah, maybe there is a better program to use out there besides skylight.

    @nepO Try your service provider (AT&T or Verizon etc) to see if they have their own (better?) software. Verizon has VzAccess for example. http://www.vzam.net/
