    hi,

I couldn't get it to work properly.

I mapped the FN+Left arrow (HOME) to the Media Key Previous Track button.
I mapped the FN+Right arrow (END) to the Media Key Next Track button.

But when I applied those settings to the registry and rebooted, pressing Previous Track or Next Track button did not execute Home or End. They did nothing. And the original buttons for Home and End no longer worked until I deleted those custom mappings.

Here I'm showing how I tried to map. Can you please show how you mapped yours successfully? Thanks

You did it backwards. You should map "Next Track" to "End" and "Prev Track" to "Home". The way you did it, now "Home" and "End" function keys would function as "Previous" and "Next Track" keys (that's why they didn't work anymore).

Thank you. That worked. Wonderful! And my original HOME and END in numeric keypad and the FN+ARROWs still work for HOME/END in addition to the new mapping of the media keys as HOME/END

Have you tried mapping the keys the other way around?

It looks to me that this way the Next/Previous Track functions are executed by pressing the Home/End keys.

    Edit: Already answered while typing...

Startup process of my laptop looks strange for me:
    1. Power button sets on
    2. Caps Lock indicator blinks once
    3. Power button sets off
    4. after short period of time Power button sets on again
    5. keyboad light sets on
    6. Dell logo appears
    Is it normal behavior?
    P.S. BIOS version is 1.10.7.

I've downgraded BIOS to 1.06.06 and seen that startup process is different.
So answer is "yes". The behavior depends on BIOS version. :)

I don't see Num Lock indicator on the keyboard. Is it really absent?

Guys, if anyone have FirePro w5170m graphics, could you make the vBIOS dump (via GPU-Z) and share it with me?:) I've bought some HP version cards (with empty vBIOS) and want to run and overclock them on my Dell Precision setup.
