Any advice on how to find the specific SSD model that come with the machine? My machine came with a 512GB PCIe M.2 NVMe Solid State Drive. I want to use the manufacture SSD tool/drivers, I believe it is from Toshiba when I go to device manager windows detects as: nvme thnsn5512gpuk nv

    Thank you.

This software could help you: https://www.hwinfo.com/

Another option is you go to the dell.com. Choose the support enter your laptop's service tag and check the system configuration.

Both of those options are good. It may be faster to grab a screwdriver and unscrew the two screws on the bottom case, the one screw for the thermal cover over the SSD and see what you have.

    My 512gb M.2 NVMe that came with the machine is a Samsung P/N: MZVPV512HDGL-000D1 Model: MZ-VPV512D DP/N: 00VPRV

From what I can tell is that it's a Dell Specific variant of the Toshiba XG3 series. The consumer equivalent is the Revodrive 400 (RD400). Seeing as there seems to be one utility that covers all their current drives, your best bet might be to download that, and see what it identifies it as:

Start with https://ocz.com/eu/download/ and select OCZ RD400 in the client SSD drop down....

I've got a 7510 with the 4k screen. I'm not happy with the viewing angles or contrast. If I move my head slightly side to side the screen seems to lose a lot of brightness.
I'm thinking of switching the screen panel out for a 1080P IPS one since you can get them online for less than $100. Disregarding the actual work of swapping the screen do you foresee any issues with compatibility? I assume it will just be recognized and work.

I have one too and I guess yours is a Sharp panel like mine.
Yes, it was really annoying and took me 1-2 weeks to get used to it but it still annoys me a bit.
I tried to increase the brightness or playing with the gammas but it did not help.
Let me know if you managed to replace it for an FHD IPS.

I going to investigate returning it first before I start replacing things. For $3000 it should have a more usable screen. We have a bunch of 7510s with the FHD IPS screen and they look great in comparison.
Not sure what the return policy is for customized machines though in Canada.

I'm hoping the screen replacement is basically peeling the bezel off and a couple screws like the m4800 was. Also, hope the backlight connector and screen connector are the same for the different screen options.

I noticed tonight when running hwinfo to check my screen that Intel's Speed Shift Technology is not supported on the 7510. I wonder why? It has the potential to save energy and make the system a lot more responsive than Window's based CPU control.

Running HWInfo on my 7510 ( i7-6820HQ running win 10), shows SST in green, so I presume it's enabled for me!

Could it be something as simple as a BIOS setting that needs changing?

Are we talking about "Enhanced SpeedStep Technology"? (I don't see anything called "Speed Shift".) It is showing green/present for me as well on the 7510.
