Check if there are any refurbished E6410's. It's also the last with a 14" 1440x900 LCD. ;)

No point, there's nothing wrong with my E6400, just fancy a change and something a little more modern.

New Latitude E6430u looks interesting, providing they do a 1600x900 option.

It's funny, the older e6410's used seem to go for more money than the current 6420's used.... I wonder why?

Are the new generations looks any better than the current Latitudes? My personal favorite was the E4310, but unfortunately I had to sell because the lack of graphics power.

Afraid not, all that's changed is the orange stripe has been ditched.

    Maybe next year...

More likely come up with a new naming scheme; F doesn't sound good unless it's a truck. :D

I was hoping to get new body, but actually if I think Dell always been using one body for two generation; D600 and D610, D620 and D630, E6400 and E6410, E6420 and E6430. Consequently next summer time something very new coming under F6x?0 name.

Been waiting for new Ivy Bridge based Dell laptops for a while, and so I had to make an account to post this :).

It seems the new Latitudes are now for sale! Not yet accessible from the Dell website, but you can see them using these URLs:

Latitude E6330 Compact and Lightweight Premier Laptop | Dell
Latitude E6430 Details — 14” Premier Professional Laptop | Dell
Latitude E6530 Laptop- High Performance and Productivity | Dell

Too bad that it forces you to select the 9-cell battery when you want the 3720QM + NVS 5200 on the 6430 :(. This battery sticks out, right?

Specs of the new dGPU (NVS 5200) are available on the Nvidia website:

Interesting that the base CPU on the 6330 is an i3 Sandy Bridge.. I wonder if I can pop an Ivy Bridge chip in the 6x20, but of course even if the hardware is capable, Dell likely won't release the necessary BIOS to support it. I'm perfectly fine with the power if the i5 2540m in my 6220, but HD4000 GPU would give it a nice boost.

It is too bad Dell is still not using a quality screen. After the IPS screen swap on my 6220 there's no going back to a "regular" screen.
