Do we know for how long Dell will offer 30%

At one point I think I saw a date around till late January - but on the other hand, I'm having a hard time seeing their products survive a 30% price increase.

Also forgot to ask. I've been told, that I will get into trouble if I swap anything from the original configuration in matter of the warranty (prosupport). I plan on swapping to Pro 950 and ECC.

Also have anyone figured how to add an extra harddisk with the 81whr battery installed?
The Dell configurations doesn't allow it, and I believe the cable needed to do it your self is hard to get. I've got a 512gb mSATA I would like to install - hoping to find a small converter, so it fits even though I will be ordering with the large battery.

"On another topic - while configuring the 7710 if one were to chose "hard drive" (first hard drive on the website configurator) as M.2 512 GB PCIe NVMe and then the second and third drives as the 1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe drives (one with an interposer for the 2.5" bay) and then check RAID 0 would they put the OS on the first drive and the 2nd and 3rd drives would be a RAID 0 volume? This seems logical but sometimes logic doesn't always hold true."

Mano - I was just perusing the 7710 Owner's Guide and they only mention RAID enabled for SATA drives - is it certain that RAID can be enabled for matching PCIe drives?

30 is "standard" for most Dells.

Memory and hard drive are considered user-serviceable and won't void the warranty.

The larger battery fills the space for the additional drive.

I forget this thread is about all models - I'm into the 5510.

Any word on when all the CPU options will be available? I see for example the Core i7-6920HQ is not on the configuration list.

I would more like to know if the E3-1535M ever will be an option for the 5510 ;)

I am really curious why you think a $200 upgrade which gives you only 100 MHz increase in speed is desirable. It's less than 3% increase in speed but around 50% increase in cpu price and probably around 10% increase in system price.

I am curious when e3-1505 will be available for 7710 so that I don't have to pay the exorbitant price for 1535. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

    Hi Kalm
Kinda going all in, and a proper Xeon would finish the job ;)
Waiting for a new offer from Dell, then I'll place my order.
But I understand why your curious, as a 1GB PCIe would be a wiser choice rather than 1535+512GB ;)
