I apologize - didn't mean to offend - just frustrated over the Thunderbolt 3 delay - I'll just have to wait until January.

Lenovo, with their Thinkpad P70 comes closest to the 7710 but after numerous delays perhaps a few people are getting them through resellers in Europe and the US but ordering from Lenovo direct will be another few weeks ? mid-December but they will not be offering the 1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe drives at the launch - Dell seems to have the lead on that.

Might these new configurations be coming around the same time as the Thunderbolt 3 option is released?

Mano, any chance you could answer my question in post #342 regarding the PCIe interposer for the 5510's 2.5" bay, and whether the 5510 can support 2x NVMe drives like the 7510?

The configurators for the 5510 don't show ECC RAM when configured with the Xeon - can you confirm that the SO-DIMMs the 5510 uses are actually the same as the 7510 uses (just 2x not 4x)?

The 5510 does not take the same interposer as the 7510 & 7710. It doesn't support 2 x M.2 drives.
The 5510 does not support ECC memory at this time.

I've checked and can't find the eDellRoot certificate on my Precision 5510.

Mano - are you able to tell If more PCIe M.2 options will come - soon?
I see the PM951 is installed in the i7 and Xeon - and I would really like to have either SM or even better the PRO SSD
