Dell UK configurator is also available (and it's basically the same as German), with many options missing compared to Dell US (no option for fingerprint reader etc). And same 1-3 days dispatch.

    Mano,

    A couple of quick questions:

    1) Some machines have been released today. When can we expect 7710 to be released, is this a matter of hours, days or weeks?
    2) Is there any feedback from the internal discussions related to the keyboard layout on new Precisions. Technically, it should be more than doable to design an alternative keyboard and make it available, after a while, so that we can replace as required. You guys already know this is the weakest part of the new system design.
    3) Any info on why the newly released machines are only available with Windows 7 in Europe?
    4) What are the manufacturers / model numbers for the 'High Performance' M.2 SSD drives, are those Samsung 950 Pro's by any chance?
    5) Will it be possible, in any way, to upgrade 7710 to a version with Thunderbird 3 port, if one buys the machine immediately upon release?

Which machine exactly? I can now see the configurator for the Precision 15 on Dell UK, but Dell US still says "Call for pricing" for me.

Yeah, but I'd like media with Win10 installer (available on DVD or USB in US configurator). Can't get Win7 install media on USB from Dell (mind you no optical drives), plus, clean Win10 install is better in my opinion than installing Win7 and upgrading.

    http://configure.us.dell.com/dellst...ision-m7510-workstation&c=us&l=en&s=bsd&cs=04

Now shows 14-16 days shipping time as opposed to 26-30 shown a while a go.

This tool will create Windows 10 media for you (USB or DVD).
Granted, you would have to upgrade Win7->Win10 once to activate your computer, but after that you could do a Win10 clean install. Perhaps not ideal, but certainly workable.

Once the Windows 10 Fall Update is out (possibly as soon as next week), you will be able to activate Windows 10 with a valid Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 key, without the need to upgrade first.

The UK listing for the 7510 is up: http://configure.euro.dell.com/dell...-m7510-workstation&c=uk&l=en&s=bsd&cs=ukbsdt1

There are two main differences from the US version: There seems to be no option for a second hard drive, and no option for a fingerprint/smartcard palmrest.

    I have two key questions:

    1) Will these options be made available soon, and if so when?

    2) Battery slices. Will external 97Wh battery slices like for the M4700/M4800 still work/be made available?

No Linux option on the 7510 configuration? I'm intending to buy the 7710, but I was surprised to see this on the 15". The announcement said there would be a Linux pre-install option. Did something change? I really like that Dell offers Linux pre-installed. I don't use Windows and I don't like being forced to buy Windows just to buy hardware.

    Edit: Model Number, Grammar

The Linux version is often available at some point after the initial launch.
