Will check tomorrow and most probably order ASAP, it's only thing bugging me... well maybe a little buzz from IPS display but it's only noticable when you are in total silence :)

EDIT: Just opened the keyboard. Looks exactly the same like on this picture http://www.appstate.edu/~taylorsa1/m6700/23.jpg
Isn't it strange? Looks like I already have dual heatsink.

Is that pic from yours? You should also monitor GPU temps, it might not be the CPU that is triggering the fans, also are you on the latest bios? We should be discussing this in the M6700 thread though. I'll post results of my own fan set points in the repaste thread once I'm done. I got data when docked, but I need some when plugged in and when on battery too.

Yeah M6700 thread would be appropriate for this. GPU is around 40-45 in idle so I guess it's not the issue. I wanted to repaste it tho, but I felt the heatsink was connected so hard to the core I gave up fighting with it (felt like some screw is still holding it, yet I used the correct procedure).
Using latest BIOS of course, no change. I don't use the laptop on battery. Will be doing another repaste tomorrow I guess (will take pictures on my own)

dell cancelled my order because of apparent windows driver issues with my config (32gb ram, quadro 4100m). no email, no call, nothing. found out by accident via the tracking site; it will now take another 2-3 weeks. little disappointed to be honest, especially since there are no such problems with linux. they should have just asked me if i would have been alright with redhat/ubuntu instead of cancelling my order :(

Are these the smallest adapters I can get for Precision laptops? (PA-3E / 90W)
