It's not possible with HWinfo64. Please check and be sure before writing wrong info.

I didn't find any soft for Fans Control for Dell Precision M6600/M6700.
    I doubt that it exist...

Probably not enough interest to get manufacturers to produce a 17" version (or it would cost too much). 15" sells way more and they can use the same screen in other 15" laptops (Dell and otherwise).

Exactly that. BIOS is constantly controlling them and overriding any SW attempt to control them.

Is there anyone who upgraded from M4x00 1080p series to M6x00 1080p series? Is it worth it? My M4600 is OK, but I'm getting very tempted with trying my luck with M6800 and bigger screen. Is working on 1080p with 17 inch workstation more comfortable than on 15 inch ones?
Just really sucks there is no more IPS for them.

Doubling the power/efficiency/capacity is a monumental step up, and one of the rare advancements worthy of your attention.

How about before posting "not possible" comments, you two do some research. The guy called Mumak is the author of HWinfo32/64. You can visit this page and leave him a message. He will tell you what exactly can and cannot be done.
Worst case, if you have such a unique fan control that no modding can be done on it (which I doubt very much as used to be able to control fans on every DELL laptop I ever owned), you can still do basic stuff, like improve the cooling so that the CPU and GPU stay below the first threshold most of the time. That way, you will have a silent and cool running system. But don't tell me that things are not possible. Everything is possible if you have a positive attitude and willing to do some work. ;)

There were people leaving him a messages about dell precision m46(7)00 and m66(7)00. I believe on one of the topics he said untill dell gives him some information about/from the bios he cant make no form of fan control.

EDIT: You can edit fan speeds but for only a second or so, after 1-2 seconds fan instantly returns to system controlled settings.
EDIT2: I'll leave him a message to see if anything can be done.
