Had the same problem. Switched my mems and problem solved.

As for the panels, they are about the same after calibration.

    I already switched the mems: 4x2GB Hynix 1333MHz to 4x4GB Kingston 1600MHz

    I calibrated both with a Spyder3.
After 1 day of usage I would say that the LG is a little better, eg. brighter at maximum and more steps of brightness (15 from min to max). But I can't compare them side by side and I didn't measure the old panel...

    Cheers,
    Alex

    Hi

I'm planning to buy a second hdd 2.5" for my precision m6500. The questions are: 500GB or 750GB capacity?. I am asking because when I bougth my laptop in the specifications says that i can use 500 gb hdd storage capacities. Does my system will recognize 750GB? Or Just go for 500Gb as dell recomend?

    Thanks.

My feelings exactly Debguy...on the spot ! But I'm happy to have this nice 16x10 m6500....it still seems blazingly fast after getting on it after a few days on my Vostro 1220! I'll go for an m6700 or 6800. It's income renewal through hardware renewal for DELL, but thank god things don't go obsolete nearly as fast as they used to. If it wasn't for AMD, intel would still be spoon feeding us 33mhz at a time....;)

EDIT: Even my 12 inch Vostro 1220 is 16x10...I'm good over here ! :)

Have you tried other mems? This actually fixed 2 of our M6500's that had freezing/crash problems. We primarily suspected the GPU(FX 3800M), but that wasn't the case.

I have had both side by side. I actually preferred Samsung after overall evaluation and selling my spare LG now. :)

    hi all

i have a win 7 installed on SSD in my M6500, it is set on raid in BIOS. I have no other hdd, ssd in my system.
I am trying to add one 750 GB Hard drive in HDD bay 2. When i install it and reboot windows does not boot- it reaches that win 7 logo and just stays there. Can anyone recommend me what to do?

When i remove the hdd SSD boots fine. SSd ins Dell default Samsung PMA 800.

Wait you are saying Dell uses a proprietary MXM layout on the M6500? Even HP's 8740w's are in standard MXM 3.0b!
