    Hi all,

    I'd like to pick up another battery for my M6500 (silver). Can someone point me to some reliable sources? Obviously, I'd like an OEM DELL battery. I can't seem to find 8M039 or 03M190 on their site anywhere. I also don't want to pay more than say, $90 for it.

    I often go to eBay, but they all say M6400. Is there a difference? Also, many of the other sites on the web say 85Wh, not 90Whr.

    Any suggestions would be great!

    What's the deal on there being 85Wh batteries AND 90Wh batteries? And, it appears they have the same model number?

    Hi all,

    I start to think that the NVIDIA 5000M for M6500 is vaporware. Did anybody really see it in a delivered M6500? Why should DELL develop/manufacture a card for a notebook that is already outdated (-> M6600 coming these days)?

    Cheers,
    Alex

    BTW: Two times service last week:
    Tuesday -> motherboard, heatpipe, fan
    Thursday -> motherboard, graphics card
    And already two "black screens" since then....

    My recent service experience:

    Sat. 9th: graphics card defective
    Mon. 11th: calling Dell
    Tue. 12th: new graphics card
    Fri. 15th: replacement card partly defective (only works stable without hardware acceleration)
    Mon. 18th: calling Dell again
    Tue. 19th: hoping for new card to arrive

    to be continued...

    btw:
    I'm voting for removing the "New" from the thread title. It starts to look funny. ;)

    May be they took it out? It was a $1350 option.

    They may be coming out with an M6600, but the M6500 is a long, long way from being outdated; although that is what Dell would like you to think. It's still more advanced than most that are currently rolling off the production line. Plus, vendors aren't "leapfrogging" each other with technology like they used to, which is good for the consumer imo. :cool: :D
