Okay, now the red in my screen, which was rather too vibrant has somehow turned orange, which is worse... I can't seem to get my red back and still can't get ccc working. When I uninstal M7820 driver red comes back but it's orange again when I reinstal a graphics driver. Time to phone Dell maybe.

DELL drivers seems to be the problem that's why I format and install latest catalyst 10.8
For hd5870 I also flash my card 800-1100 and is been stable for days running games and furmark I don't know if Dell drivers has something special for businesses apps or developers but I want to stick with the latest drivers that's why I don't care, my device manager says I have a mobility hd5870 that's the only difference for me

I've tried all the driver/catalyst packages I can find up to 10.10. When I get to the screen shown in attachment and click on control centre I get a momentary flicker of the loading hour glass, then nothing. No error message or anything, the thing just doesn't load (I've tried installing and running suite with all anti virus turned off too)... hrumph

If you are running the Dell Control Panel, make sure to set the video to NTSC. I have seen AdobeRGB make the reds look a little orange at times.

Yea, I managed to figure that was the problem with the reds, it was my own fault, I had adjusted that earlier but had not seen the result until a restart later on. Major problem sorted. But still I can't get the CCC up and running. It seems to be installed, it just doesn't start when opened. Above link is where I got the 10.10.

Did anybody else see the problem that external USB hard disks would not be recognized in any of the USB2 ports until the OS was rebooted?

Today was the second time I had that problem. I use Win7 x64 and own the m6500 for six month. So it is quite seldom, but having to reboot in the middle of some work just because I wanted to copy data from my USB disk is a bit ugly... Pausing 3 VMs, saving a VS2010 solution, rebooting and starting that stuff again takes some time which I would like to avoid.
