by the way, I found that discount by searching on pricegrabber.com for "precision m6500" and sorting it by price from low to high.

 

that make's it purchasable for me....where'd that come from?

EDIT: I've configured one, but can't see a Bluetooth option...is that a given since it's a covet? Nevermind...BT showed up in the cart...

 

Nice deal absynthe21, though I am located in Greece and I am almost sure that this discount wouldn't apply except it's meant to be a pan European discount.

 

I'm about to order a Covet for around 3800 bux from the link above....question, is that edge to edge glass any good?

The edge to edge is basically a piece of glass over the entire screen. Its aesthetic, adds nothing to functionality. Personally I think its more of an annoyance with finger prints, keyboard scrub and dust.

 

I probably agree...don't want the keyboard scrub....I'll call DELL because I can't 'uncovet' this online...don't know if they'll give me the same deal if I change it to non covet....I've got the middle processor and 3800 gpu...that discount made the buy difference for me...

 

OK...I'm an M6500 Covet owner....I got the 1200. discount, plus they said I qualified for a free Laser Printer which will ship a week ahead....Printer ship date, 1/5, M6500 ship date 1/15....guess I'll throw a felt cloth on the keyboard if I take it somewhere.... I've got a 12 inch Vostro I use for traveling anyway...

Has anyone else received theirs? I have been at the "boxing" stage since the 23rd. Overall it was 2 weeks in build, a week in testing, and a week (and counting) in boxing. I am trying to be patient here, but this order was pushed through with an expedite from my rep and its still taking at least a month to get here.

 

A couple of question...

1) Whats the audio like -does it come with a subwoofer (like the Precision M90) ?

2) Is there a pdf manual available for it yet ?
