Huh. My Dell rep at work just said that the V131 is going away soon. Anyone know anything about the new model? Ivy Bridge I imagine?

Does anyone know how lemon works?
I do like my V131, but some things about it are just killing me.
I'm about to go on my fourth repair attempt for the hinges (which keep breaking),
and there are other issues that have replacements done, like on the plastic parts.

Are those kinds of things applicable for return or would I just have to tough it out?

My guess is that they're consolidating the Vostro line into three notebook. The most direct replacement is probably the Vostro 3360. Review

so i just updated to a Crucial M4 SSD by "cloning" from my HDD method. then ofcourse i switched the sata mode to AHCI. "rating is 7.9"

ok so with my HDD, when i went to shut down, you know that "ring:" that cycle around next to the "shutting down" word. well it cycles about 7-8, then it pause for 2-3 seconds. then cycle 1 more time then shut down.

so when i cloned SSD, it picked up the same issue. however my cold start up is extremely fast! from dead cold to password screen in less then 10 seconds.

my e6410 with sata II SSD shuts down with less then 3cycle of that ring. how can SATA II be faster then SATA III SSD in shutting down.

is anyone having this? or should i reinstall windows completely???
