Yes I think it's a pretty good deal. You paid $5 less than me, but I did get an external dvd writer with it. I really like mine. It should serve you well.

Not bad. I bought my gf one with the same specs as yours but with a 320gb HD. With coupon, it came out to $319. Ram upgrade and HD is easy to do, so I don't really care.

I'm debating if I should get a 240gb SSD. Tigerdirect has the OCZ Agility 3 for $229 after rebate. Cheapest I've ever seen.

It's been a long while since they released a coupon for this, but it was around January. 25% off I think. I usually just keep an eye out @ Dell Outlet (@DellOutlet) on Twitter

What kind of sleeve are you looking for? If you are looking for a soft case, some "MacBook" sleeves will work, but some won't and you may need to look for a 14" case to accomidate (mispelled?) the V131's hump at the back.

I personally use a Brenthaven ProStyle Hardshell case. It's a hybrid sleeve-clamshell (work-in-case) that is stiff on the outside and well-cusioned on the inside. It even has ballistic nylon. While the fit isn't perfect, it works very well with my V131, which has the six-cell battery.

Another good case that Brenthaven makes is the Trek Sleeve, which is a sort of handbag for the laptop. It is ugly, but the laptop fits perfectly and the thing is INDESTRUCTIBLE.
