    So, could it be possible that maybe mine is the chi mei screen because it is so bad? Which brand supplies for the m6800 matte screen full hd?

    Like I said, mine had screens from LG.

    You can check which type of screen your M6800 has with HWinfo ( http://www.hwinfo.com/download.php ).

    I definitely hope so, but at the moment there's no info on what the specs of the M6900 will be.

    hi guys,
    i'm about to pull the trigger on an m6800 from ebay, and before i do it , i will like to hear about any experience you guys have had in the past. I know a few of you have bought your´s machines from ebay too so any comment will be wellcome.
    there´s one vendor that only sells dell precisions, don´t know if i can throw names here, but i´m planning to buy it from him. (pcgl####). (top rated seller full of positive reviews). Is there another one to trust?
    Also want to know what kind of warranties does it come with, it says "Dell Next Business Day On Site Warranty", it is DELL PRO SUPPORT, or DELL BASIC SUPPORT?
    Any help will be appreciated!

    It's Dell Pro support. I bought both my Dell Precisions new from eBay. My prior M6600 was flawless and I am still waiting on the M6800 to come in so we'll see. Dell's warranty covers 3 years from purchase worldwide so buying from a reputable dealer on eBay seems okay to me.

    I can register most of these notebooks for warranty service or does dell not care, or are most of them new enough that they haven't been registered. I've heard people having some trouble transferring the warranty?

    Lately I've installed GTX 880m in my M6800.

    I am observing weird CPU throttling. After quite some time of gaming the GPU temperature was almost 80 degree (79 to be exact). I realized the CPU throttled to 800MHz!

    It seems like CPU throttles to lower the temperature. But this throttling does not affect GPU temp at all!

    I am talking here of only GPU stress testing - CPU is almost not being used and it still throttles.
