Yes. Internal display will work, and VGA, but no other video outputs.

Thanks! You don't happen to know if AMD and nVIDIA card for M6600 have the same or different heatsink? (mine came with a 4000M) - trying to look for replacement - though the poor UK exchange rate and the generally low supply means that AMD option might have to be considered (if Heatsink / fan fits, etc).

Kinda late to the party, but just couldn't pass up a deal on a great condition M6600 with a FirePro M6100 in it. Though it seems to come back reporting as a Radeon 8950 for some reason but benchmarks say its pretty much a M6100.

Been a religiously HP Elitebook guy for many many years but couldn't pass it up. I end up selling and upgrading to the next generation. So I've owned a HP Compaq NC8430, 8510p (both business level 15"), then became the Elitebook 8530w, 8560w, and finally my 8570w that has Ivy Bridge. So the downgrade to Sandy Bridge isn't exactly a deal breaker but that M6100 is really, really nice.

The M6100 is identified as a Radeon 8950 by some software, including AMD's own Radeon Pro. I believe that this is simply to guarantee compatibility with various video games that might choke if they see a 'FirePro' GPU.

Anybody have any issues with the built-in Bluetooth under Windows 10? Initially, it just couldn't keep a consistent connection to my Logitech BT mouse. So I forcibly loaded the Win8 driver from Dell's webpage. Now it shows up with an error 19 (something about corrupt registry settings) in Device Manager, and uninstalling/reinstalling the driver did not fix the problem.

Anyone tried to flash their m8900 with HD 6970m bios for maximum gaming performance? Could someone kindly upload one if it works.

For Win10, where can I get the fingerprint drivers that will work?

For the M6700, I am using the ControlVault drivers from the Precision 7510/7710, and they work fine with Windows 10 / Windows Hello. I think it would be a safe bet that they would work with the M6600 as well (but I do not have one to test).
