Just letting yous now, how it goes with determining the type of my keyboard.
I got a scan of delivery documents (including specs) and got my helpers to look at the keyboard (no orange backlit symbol present) and appears it isn't backlit one.
Specs says:
331-1251 Internal English Keyboard, Dell Mobile Precision
and after my research I learnt that it should be:
331-1249 Internal Backlit English Keyboard, Dell Mobile Precision

Of course, I sent a message to my Rep straight away. I was in contact with him in the morning as I asked him for electronic copy of my invoice before I received the scan from my work mates. He responded instantly (to my suprise - first message for last 2 weeks) sending just a simple SORRY for all the hassle I had to experience so far.
After I sent my complain and asked for some solution - no reply. I forwarded a copy to his supervisor as well. Of course, when I call them my rep is unavailable. I'll try calling them tomorrow. Since it is Saturday I will have loadz of time to keep trying. Will see how it goes.

Should I tell about it to the Rep tomorrow, what do yous reckon?

 

Are these both Dell hardware?

Hi, I have no problem with Revit it's using the quadro3000m... the only thing i've done was to upgrade all the driver with the latest from dell web site.. maybe will help.

 

I installed the newest non-beta Verde drivers. I had, for a while, that vid card notification that showed how many apps were actively using the Quadro. It has since decided to stop running. Any thoughts? Is there another way to know that it's using the GPU?

My Razer mouse drivers also stop working on wake from sleep.

 

Dell Client System won't install on Win 7 64-bit and its painful trying to track down the correct drivers to install. Is anyone willing to upload or ftp their driver resource dvd. Mine should have come with resource dvd, but didn't.

Here is the Vertex 3. Not sure the writes are correct, but I'll let you know if there are any freezes/bsod's in the next few weeks. Shipped with 2.06, I upgraded to 2.09 FW.

My WEI for M6400 bought 2008 Factory Stock No Mods. Ignoring the 80% full RAID 1 HD performance everything else is impressive in comparison to the best available notebooks July 2011.
