    I cant boot linux even in vga mode... have tried with usb linux ubuntu....

    ok, my notebook isnt doing anything with the k4100m.
    I just did update the notebook bios to A15 .... but it does not detect the k4100m.
    screen stays black :(

    which bios version do you have?

    ok ... the last version. The same that I have ...
    Than may be there is a diffrent between K4000 and K4100 ... ?
    Or I habe a absolut incompatibel vBIOS ... which I cant flash because my noebook does not boot with the card ...
    or the card is broken ... but I dont think, It is already the second one :(

    Do you have optimus activated? Try to use ghe intel gpu for flashing vbios...

    I have a k4100 ...

    I will try to start with the intel graphic ... but the A06 Bios did switch automaticaly when no card was inserted ... no way to disable manually ...
    I did not check the settings in the new BIOS ...

    but i need a dell K4100 vRom

    There is no way to switch to intel graphic in bios ... :(

    Get optimus enable... mine is starting with the intel gpu with optimus enabled.
