Yes, I'm actually writing article series for that site about eGPU and doing notebook reviews.
There are three out if you want to check out benchmark numbers and issues. By the end of the month I should translate all articles once my schedule clears up but for starters google translate should help out.
Part1, Part2 and Part3. If you have any queries about eGPu you should head out to TechInferno.

For invaluable information such as that I can be patient lol but thank you very much

Yeah I have been gathering a lot of information from TechInferno since there since that is where the Author of the original thread is now located.

Just out of curiosity, which adapter did you use? PE4L V2.1? Its been the one I have been looking at lately....

Nevermind, looks like that might have been the one you used lol

EDIT 2: Oh so you used the other model, you didnt have any issues with it? Much cheaper overall iirc

    Nice, thanks for sharing @darkydark

Ill probably get the eGPU in place and then start the transition into the m6100 afterwords

    @Gary Johnson

I plan on using 32GB as well, but I want to keep 1600Mhz, depending on what comes with my machine ill let you know what it comes equipped with and purchase another kit when I can

If you want to do egpu, Nvidia card may be a better choice.

The m6100 perform around a 750ti. With the performance cut due to bandwidth, unless you are getting a really beefy card, the performance difference won't be much.

nVidia eGpu is a better choice if you can get optimus to work by disabling dGPU in your notebook and using the combination of iGpu and eGpu. Since m6600 specced with amd gpu has no enduro support and can not use iGpu he can just go ahead and use AMD eGpu. Just make one important note you wont be able to use egpu to run anything on m6600 internal screen only external.

As you can see in my latest article R9 270X performs nicely on limited eGPU bandwidth.

That being said - if you take out AMD dGPU in M6600 and only run it on iGPU nVidia cards (except for Maxwell and 650/750) work plug and play. I've tested that with 560/660/760 cards.

There is possibility I might be selling M6100 gpu card soon - so hit me if you are interested.

M6600 will do optimus if it have a n card, or no card(maybe, but why not xD)

    According to nando's post R9 270X x1.2 ext. hit 7k 3dmark 11, on your article it is 8k?
m6100 do 6k. Not worth all the effort imo. You need a bigger GPU to really see the improvement.

Yes i did 8k with msi hawk edition card.
I only listed gpu scores as it was tested with i5 3510m on 2570p

    M6100 manages around 5500 gpu score in 3dmark 11.

One of the articles has m6800 with i7 4810mq and gtx 980 but performance takes heavy hit due to bandwidth required. Id say dont go over gtx 770/970 or r9 280/285.
