    I only get crappy phone number in Croatia... New screen incoming tomorrow will try to haggle for a chat session with brass if its another chimei.

    Chick from support (that is actually very helpful and was shocked how calm i was during entire process) said that after my flickered lg was replaced by nonflickered LG (that had a nasty scratch) tech asked for substitute for that scratched LG - and altho they wrote LG as a note a substitute chimei was shipped - 2 times. She said she talked to warehous manager and i should be getting LG panel now as no AUO is available at the moment.

    I just bought a Dell Pro2x Docking Station and I am wondering if anyone else has this same issue. My keyboard repeat rate is set to the maximum which means if you press a key for more than an instant, it would have it repeat a bunch of times (ex: aaaaaaaaa). Everything is fine and normal without the dock, the typing repeat rate is fast, but when I plug it in, it suddenly becomes very slow!! (ex: aaa)

    Does anyone else have this issue? I'm paranoid if this is a keylogger. My first time plugging in the dock it installed some drivers through the device managers but it was minimized and installed instantly so I didn't get enough time to click on them to see what it had installed.

    I haven't tested anything else out yet, maybe the entire computer is slower, and not just the typing repeat rate? But it's odd, even after I undock it, and plug in the laptop directly to the charger, the typing is still slow! I noticed when I tried to scroll down a page using the Down arrow key, which I do normally, and it took ages to scroll down.

    Anyone else experience the same thing, or should I return this docking station?

    M6700 with PR02X, using internal laptop keyboard. Repeat rate seems fine. I just set it to the fastest to test, and it looks good. (I already had it set at fastest, except with "repeat delay" one notch below the fastest.)

    It's normal to have some drivers install when you first connect the dock. I noticed that the COM port was added when I first connected mine. Wouldn't be surprised if a couple more things pop in.

    Maybe someone with M6600 can check but I haven't heard any complaints about this before.

    Thanks for the prompt reply! I have found that there are literally hundreds of other people who have the same issue (just do a Google search for "laptop docking station repeat rate or just go here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itproui/thread/98b338cb-6f37-451d-9e32-5f6bdac9d436/")

    It seems that every Dell laptop has been affected by this issue, and it took them until the M6700s to fix it!

    I'm still wondering if any other m6600 owners have the same issue though, it's a wonder it's never been brought up before!

    Out of curiosity, is your bios up to date, that's a huge maybe, but maybe there's a fix for the M6600 in the form of a bios update.

    Wow, didn't know it.

    Guess I lucked out, that would have been obnoxious. Hope you find a fix...

    [Edit]
    The link you posted seems to indicate that it's actually Windows's keyboard rate settings that are getting reset and there are a few tools available to fix it automatically (as you probably saw already).

    I just test it, and mine seem to be opposite. The repeat rate is actually slower off dock...

    On dock, both usb and internal is same speed.

    Thanks for the verification! This means the glitch is active for all M6600 users. It's actually dependent on whether you turn on the computer while it's docked or undocked.

    If you turn it on while it's docked, then undock it, the repeat rate will be slower.
    If you turn it on while it's undocked, then dock it, the repeat rate will be slower.

    It's basically vice versa of the other and the best solution to solve the problem I found here: Keyboard rate and laptop docks in windows « Memory Leak

    I have that new 840 SSD running in the secondary slot and the OEM PM830 primary slot is still the OS. Samsung Magician software misbehaves/crashes because of that OEM drive. No problem I manually configure the optimizations myself.

    By default windows install sets:
    TRIM: Enabled; Defrag schedule: SSD's Eliminated; SuperFetch: Manual

    I set manually: highlighted ones asked about last night but went ahead and did them - impatient! System is snappier from the changes too!
    Defrag schedule: OFF then Defrag Service Disabled;
    Windows Search Indexing: Service Disabled, not a heavy drive/file searcher;
    SuperFetch and Prefetch: Service Disabled then Disabled Both in Registry;
    Hibernation: Disabled;
    System Protection: OFF all drives;
    Enable Write Caching: Default Enabled - continue same
    Turn Off Write-Cache Buffer Flushing both SSD's: Enabled/Checked (Not on Sandforce/Intel leave Disabled/Unchecked);

    Any opinions performance wise on this last one:

    Pagefile? (Disable or set to 2GB instead of Default 16GB?)
    I think it can be safely set to 1 or 2 Gigabytes as long as I don't often exceed 12GB/75% of available RAM, but not 100% sure and there are a lot of different opinions.
