Here's a picture of a FHD WLED, backlight dying.

Edit: BTW, that's an AUO refurb. that replaced an LG flickerer.

Dell did good with me on making it right.

A lot of these display issues lie with the display mfgs. Profit margins are down from the early days, demand is higher, cost to produce is higher. So they colluded to price fix and got caught - another expense. Stuck between the consumer and the builder what's a component supplier to do.

I want replace my NVQ3000m with K4000M. Could you tell me how many and what thickness of thermopads I need? There are 0.5,1.0 and 1.5mm thickness available.

Hey, I got it to work with 4 touch points on Windows 8!

Just download the drivers for the touchscreen here: http://www.n-trig.com/Content.aspx?Page=Downloads_Drivers

It doesn't work as well as an iPad or Windows 8 certified touch screen monitors that are literally 0 pressure to use though. I browsed through the store, used Google earth, pdfs, other programs, but I had to press down on the screen in order for it to have performed properly. Even then, it didn't really perform phenomenally. But it does work with 4 touch sensors now, and that is good. Maybe my monitor is just lacking on the touch sensor part, because I had to push down on the monitor for it to work properly...

However, testing out the digitizer, it works much better than before! It can now catch up to the digitizer wherever you put it, and it's finely calibrated now.

Just some FYI....I wanted to test UEFI boot mode, so I changed to it and did a fresh install of Win 8 Pro. The system was taking forever on the login screen. It would hang for 15+ seconds. All the drivers and updates were installed. Running A12 BIOS. So I switched back to Legacy BIOS, re-installed Win 8 and everything is fine.

Somewhere in the M6700 thread someone else was having this issue. Something about secure boot testing for the presence of drive in the sequence or lack thereof - waiting for a response. Somehow they were able to kill that part of the test - IIRC.

Ah..ok. Even then, I saw no difference in boot up time between Legacy and UEFI getting to the login screen. Unless there is a big difference, I think I'll just stay with the Legacy boot.

No problem Fluffy! Thanks for the rep!

I lied about the touch screen not being very sensitive by the way, it turns out it was my 3 layer zip loc screen protector that was blocking all of the sensitivity (I taped 3 layers onto my monitor like a screen protector to block the glare)

Whoa!! This thing works great with windows 8!!!
