    Very cool laptop skin!

In case any touch/penabled M6600 owners are interested, the NuShield screen protector for the Dell Inspiron N7110 17.3” machine works perfectly. NuShield will update its website for the M6600 after using me as the guinea-pig to make sure the protector works. :) It's the clear view protector (not the anti-glare version) that I tried.

I use the e port plus with my M6600. The VGA will display 2560x1440 as does the display port, but the DVI is a single link DVI, so it will not display 2560x1440. I snap my e port plus into the Dell RM 361 Flat Panel Monitor Stand for a beautiful integration of VESA stand and port replicator and 27" 2560X1440 monitor. It's slick...

It may be my imagination, and I am sure to start having loads of problems from this moment on, but the NVidia 310.70 driver update (I am using Quadro 4000M) seems to be very good. Have had it installed a few days now and have been pleasantly pleased as it seems quicker, quieter etc.

Did you mean 310.70? that's all I saw there at nVidia.com. I don't usually like getting drivers from there as on two different displays the results are not always good. Pink video playback, Optimus failure BSOD, etc.

Not by default from the build selectors. Do you have an orange graphic on the right arrow key? If yes hold Fn and press key. If not you may want to take it up with someone at Dell to get one. Be sure to check your build sheet and see if it was supposed to be there.

Yes sorry. I should have written 310.70.

Am very pleased with it, rendering speeds etc.

When I configured an M6600 back in October, the backlit keyboard was an option that you paid extra for. If you configure an M6600 now, it is included in the base price and not listed as an option any longer. The same with the slot load DVD which is now included in the base price.

Looks like I'll have to buy a back lit keyboard.

Any one happen to a PN# they could shoot me ?

So outside of Dell are there some shops people tend to deal with to get those kinds of parts?

    Danke
