Anybody using a laptop cooler of some kind when resting the computer on your lap? I notice my Cooler Master Note Pal X2 pulls air away from the bottom of the laptop, which isn't the way the Precision's bottom vents work. Thanks.

The machine is heavy enough, adding cooler on top of that ~~,
On the note pal, maybe you can try flip the fan,

Still checking out my new M6600 and have a question.

In the boot options menu after hitting F12 when booting up, I noticed a the following option:

Intell (R) Management Engine BIOS Extension (MEBx)

When I select that option I get a menu that wants a password; however, my regular password does not work with it.

What does that option do and why can I not access it?

    Thank you.

i have m6600 with 3000m GPU and regular WLED panel
i intend to upgrade to dell 7970m which pull from m17x r4, it worked great with my previous m15x (except the overheat problem)
but with my short experience with the system, the fan speed is not too high (around 3500rpm only), and since i cannot control the fan speed via Hwinfo (Martin confirm here), so may the m6600 got overheat with 7970m? :(
User with m6600 and 7970m please give some advise :hi2:

So far maybe so-so on the USD39.99 for Windows 8 upgrade :) , need to download ~2GB of installation file some more...
but for someone thinking to it you can bet lower price in eBay USD 22.0 ~ USD35.00 for Original DVD with Win8 sticker

The Media Center you can get the Key later for free before Jan 31/2013 :D... Now thinking for touchscreen
