    Just google Korea 2560X1440

I have the Auria EQ276W from Micro Center.
Ebay sellers have the even cheaper direct from Korea 2560 x 1440. They all use the LG panels.

Oh...very nice and very affordable. Is the screen glossy or matte? Do they make 24" monitor with the same screen? I have a Micro Center about 45 mins from me. I may have to see if they have on display that I can check out.

I'll call it semi-gloss. Auria does make a 24" . Check the Micro center webpage and see if they stock it near you. I stuck my Auria 27" on one of those military surplus VESA Dell RM361 Monitor Stand Dock - Dell PN 330-0874 you see all over Ebay, brand new and factory sealed , for less than 20.00 delivered..yes, 20.00 delivered, it costs 100.00 plus tax at Dell. , yes 100.00 for the same thing through Dell.

So, the Auria 27" is on a great Dell VESA stand, I have the Dell port replicator that is designed for the stand, it snaps in, with a M6600 on the replicator. Totally cool, integrated, awesomeness. Any owners of M6600, M4600, etc. that uses the PR02x, and maybe other models as well, and you use an external monitor should consider it. The Dell PR02X also works with the Dell E6530. HDMI works OK with 2560X1440 on my desktop PC, but the M6600 does not support 2560X1440 with HDMI. Many people will tell you that HDMI will not support 2560X1440 at all. but that's not true with many video cards.

The dell stand is rated up to 24", but I'm using a 27" just fine, BUT you lose the ability to use the portrait mode with the 27" and the stand since the edge will hit the base if you try.Make sure you get the ones with VESA adapter if your monitor requires it.

A little warning here. It took me hours of research to figure this all out, and Dell techs had the wrong info. The PR02x port replicator has single link DVI ports, not usable with 2560X1440 resolution. The VGA on the M6600 and on the dock will support 2560X1440. The dock has a display port, but I have not tried that out yet. I have not noticed any difference in PQ between DVI and VGA myself.

    Cost breakdown

    $18.00..Dell RM361 Monitor Stand Dock - Dell PN 330-0874, 100.00 at Dell
$40.00 DELL Dock E-Port Plus Replicator PR02X, came with power brick, purchased on Ebay, mine were actually new. I think Dell sold both for 200.00
$433.00 Auria 27" 2560X1440 IPS screen, very close in performance to the 1000.00 Apple. Uses the same LG panel as Apple
    $491.00 Total

    Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie, so forgive my ignorance please. There's a new NVIDIA Quadro 4000M driver (released yesterday) that has shown up in Windows update. I read in this remarkable thread that it's best to use Dell's video drivers for the M6600. Do I ignore this NVIDA update then? Thank you very much for your opinion. Best, Rory.

On M6700, I'm using NVIDIA drivers from Windows Update and they haven't given me any trouble. I'd say just watch out if you happen to have the IPS display. Drivers directly from NVIDIA don't always play nice with the Dell premier color utility.

I installed it the other day. No problems whatsoever (touch wood). ;-)

BTW I do not think it is a NVIDIA driver in the update but something else. I may be mistaken but do think it was something other than a driver.

Hi everybody: I installed it and nothing died. It's about 200MB and says 'NVIDIA QUADRO 4000M' driver so... Um, I just figured out how to coax the Intel HD video to switch to the NVIDIA card for an older game I wanted to try (via the 3D settings in the NVIDIA control panel). *sigh* Just returning to Windows after 12 years on a Mac. I'm still in awe of this computer. Oh, I ordered the 256GB mSATA card from Crucial. I feel a little more confident trying a clean install thanks to this thread:

Again, thank you to the members for taking the time to compile all this stuff: I wouldn't have gotten off the ground without it!!

I ran the CCC updater and it says I have the current version. I'll wait until it tells me. Everything is running stable and fine. Thanks for the heads ups though.
