    M6600: Owners Manual

Easiest first thing to check is to make sure there are no vent obstructions or loose material/parts floating/dangling anywhere. Take off the back cover and have a good look, then tilt and listen. Don't touch anything if not grounded or wearing ESD device.

    OOOPS: link fixed, sorry :(

OOOPS: for crying out loud, fixed again :(

Addendum: turn the fan with your finger (it's plastic, no worry), it should turn effortlessly with no noise.

    I ordered the flowing parts:
DP/N: 0772MN Back Cover with video cabled
    DP/N: 03T52W Bezel
    DP/N: 075V7G Interposer Board
    IPS RGB Panel LG LP173WF3

After installing the new panel it was not recognized by system. The panel and the interposer card are coming from Dell, however the panel is refurbished on.

My M6600 has NVIDIA Quadro 3000M and integrated Intel cards.

It is too pity, i spent a lot of money...what can be the reason?

Is that idle? Seem like a optimus machine to me. Not the best idle temp ever but I think it looks fine.

Haha. So would having that extra hard drive not be as good as having a SATA III SSD?
I'm just going by the disk setup guidelines here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/662972

If I get the mSATA I would able to do the 4 hard drive configuration vs. just the 3.

Here's a really good post tijo wrote about this very thing: Dell Precision M6700 Owners Thread
So many possibilities. Cost, Weight, Heat, Reliability, Certainty.

Lap-topz: NBR is rejecting your name from the quote. Just drops it off. In plaint text this line too...Weird.

That is the language filter at work, NBR probably had a lot of spam involving that work at some point in time. In any case, i'll bring it to the attention of the lead moderator, maybe we can remove it now.

I understand that you have not isolated the problem yet. But based on your impressions, are you leaning toward a part or design issue?

At this point, I'm wondering if Dell's IPS design is questionable (am contemplating buying an IPS monitor instead).

And my concerns go beyond just the panel issue. I've lost a lot of confidence in laptop manufacturers in general, and am curious about your perspective.
