I don't know what country you're in but if you purchased pro support, you should be able to call Dell and they will walk you through the whole thing (especially if they put the operating system in your secondary HDD).

When I bought my Dell Latitude, I had to reformat my hard drive a couple of times and Dell support was great. They walked me through the whole thing from beginning to end. This was a couple of years back but I would imagine that the service is the same.

EKNIGHT1, go to the Dell website. You can answer all of your own questions.

I appreciate the quick reply but I wana make sure you are saying you have a 17" multi touch LCD screen

Also do you find it usefull and responsive in adesk and cs5 or is it more of a gimmick

i think you should check the web site for yourself

the 17" touch is not an option when you place an order

it does claim 17 multi touch on the front page but its not an option when you order

i spoke with 2 dell reps and both told me that the manufacturers cant even make 17" touch screens which is obv not true bc the its available for xps

there was a preconfig that claimed touchscreen but when you select it it is not available

im als wondering why the touch is not mentioned more here

It's not mentioned, because it's garbage. Google Ntrig and you will find out why. It's optically bonded on top of the LCD. The touch screen version is the same FullHD screen underneath.

Buy a Wacom tablet, you will be much happier.

I think Dell is going through some serious production issues right now. I've been waiting ~50 days for my 6600. The 6600 isn't even available in the US for online ordering atm.

I ordered my machine June 1 got it on June 22 it is the m6600 17.3", and it does have the touch screen.

Nekura is right the machines at this point are not available for order in us. Not even for premier customers like myself.
