The i7-2860 is still not configurable at small business..but..
I just called dell (holland) small business for a m6600, they will swap a i7-2820 for a i7-2860, same price.

It will work, but the 130 watt adapter will make it run at battery powered speeds. It will also charge the battery, but at a slower rate. You really need the 210 or 240 watt adapters to properly use your machine.

Just checked, I got the LG Panel!

Well I could have hoped for the AUO, but the panel seems to be nice.

Thanks for the reply. I did order from the Outlet.
I will check the screen when it arrives. I am a stickler for black level and am buying it for color reproduction and programming. CMO could never be seen as fulfilling a Premium Panel Guarantee, no. If the screen looks like crud they will be getting it back for restock and I'll move onto the new Envy 17 next week over at HP.

We got our two outlet M6600 in at the office today. Have not opened the second one yet, but here is the first M6600 with touch screen:

    AU Optronics B173HW01 V5
    Dell P/N H8D3K

Looks like the good one, though I thought Scott said this was a matte display?
The touch screens are all glossy. I can't imagine they would bond the touch screen to a matte panel.

Now for some thoughts on the M6600. The dummies at Dell shipped it upside down under the plastic film, so it rode here on its top. Looks OK though. Still, what were they thinking? One of the first big impressions a customer gets is at the unboxing, and when you see a upside , expensive laptop, with the corners of the top lid against bare cardboard, you gotta wonder. They did have one sheet of that thin foam sheet, but the corners were exposed. They need some basic marketing/packaging help there. Big turnoff here.

A bit more plastic feel than I thought it would be. Like on the palm rests. Better than the Vostro series, which we also have here. We have an older M6300 here, and I consider it to have a beefier feel to it. The lid on the M6300 is really more substantial than the M6600.

That's it for now. This is meant as first impression criticisms, and I have not really explored the strengths yet.

Not quite sure about the minicard. Can I get a 256GB minicard (Are they sata3)and boot from it. If so can someone give me a link to purchase on e as I cannot seem to get much in the way of info on them. I have filled the Sata Primary and secondary slots but am not sure if I can make the minicard a bootable drive.

You can boot from a minicard. I have a 128gb one for sale if you might be interested.

For the 256gb, I read somewhere on this forum that they cost $570.. You can find them on samsungparts.com.

Quick update on the "stolen" M6600 I bought from a reputable eBay seller. Summary story here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/8109320-post2386.html

I called them today and they agreed to take back my laptop and give me a full refund include my original shipping cost. Like I mentioned in the previous post, they are reputable and very apologetic after finding out it was stolen. So, to those who may have bought the system from them (eBay seller - johny641) recently, please check your Service Tag with Dell and call them if it is a problematic one. The seller told me that my was 1 of the 10 units in that same batch.

And... I just purchased a Factory Refurbish unit from "Ryan", who is very active in this forum too. Very pleasant guy to deal with, can't be happier!!
