I am wondering if everyone who has the 2720qm M6600 has the same problem or is even aware of the lack of turbo boost. The only way to find out is to download some sort of monitor.

I saw similar questions on the dell forum and the dell folks just say the usual line from the book..

By the way I know that turbo boost works because I can force it though throttleStop.

Well thanks for all the replies..back to my 2.2GHz 2720qm dell M6600..

    I am using A04.

By the way I noticed that when SpeedStep is disabled, turbo is disabled internally even though it's enabled in the BIOS.

I see that you have the 2920XM. Do you see more than 2.5GHz in the intel Monitor 2.0?.

    Thanks for the help

Is this a Dell Windows image or your own?

The IT department made this image and installed on the machine. I am not sure if they get the laptop with no OS or if they overwrite the dell image.

You could try one of the older Bios versions. We might want to wait and see if anyone has posted any issues with reverting back to a previous bios. You would be doing this at your own risk.

I will test my M6600 with 2720QM and will let you know.

What OS are you using? (XP, XP-64, Vista (lol?^^), 7)
