    Check out the options in BIOS, I'm sure I've seen an option there that allows to use Scroll Lock on an external keyboard as the 'Fn' key on the built-in one. Don't remember the details but you'll find it fairly easily.

    I posted my question but did not get a reply..might have been the wrong spot..

    I have the M6600 with the 2720QM processor. I cannot seem to see the turbo boost go above 2.2GHz..

    Just to cover all option..

    1. I am running with direct power cord.
    2. I am running at ultra performance with 100% as min/max processor state.
    3. I ran prime95, engineering software and both intel monitor 2.0, CPU-z and HWINFO32 are not showing any frequencies above 2.2GHz.

    Let me know if you can think of anything else.

    Yes it is..I tried a scenario with Intel SpeedStep off and C-state off and same issue.

    The laptop was re-imaged so could there be something from dell that is missing?

    I have asked Dell technician similar question. She says the turbo-boost need no specific driver/software to function, only if disabled by BIOS.
