    Hey,

jup, I finally made it. Thx to robotti80 and zdroj!!!

The drive and the SSD fit and work perfectly so far. I just have one problem, that I dont know how to solve: when I start or reboot my M6600 then I see the following screen (see attached picture) that disappears after a moment, but if there is a way to avoid it I would be happy.
What I did in the bios so far is just set the Port where my SSD is in as primary booting option.
When I try to press CTRL to make changes it doesnt do anything...

    Any ideas? Many thx!

Thanks for the tip. I will begin crafting meaningful messages soon. Looks like I've got a few to go.

This is the Intel (RAID) controller ROM configuration screen. You mus press CTRL+I to enter it, and you're able to configure your RAID (not much sense in your case, though...)

I'm reviving the above subject, because I noticed that one of the reasons of the clicks in my M6600's audio is Flash - when I open or refresh a webpage containing Flash animation/video, it makes the audio "click in anticipation " :)

I'm saying "one of the reasons" as sometimes, the same noise sounds without such an apparent connection at all... I have also tested whether it would be encoded in my Vegas Pro-rendered audio, and it unfortunately does - making this otherwise great laptop unusable for serious audio/video editing!

    Anyone (Bokeh) tested theirs?

    I dont have this screen.
I just changed from RAID to AHCI in BIOS before I began to install Windows 7 on my SSD.
My system disk is in the hot swap bay on the right side of the laptop. (near USB3.0 and DisplayPort connector)

I also just received my machine on Friday, and received the dreaded display. I found the forum very helpful in making my decision, but have had nothing to offer as posts. Please PM me and I will forward my Service Tag Monday morning. Thanks to everyone for all the reviews, they were the reason I chose this machine over the others.
