Dell likes the Samsung PC3-10600 (1333MHz) CL9 in these models.

I got my M6600 yesterday with Hynix PC3-10600S-9-10-B1 on CL9.
    I bought 16 GB PC3 Samsung aftermarket.

Waiting to receive a new Dell M6600 in replacement for a faulty M6500 … its being sent as a split shipment, and wouldn’t you know … unit 2 of 2 arrived today … a spare battery … what a tease …

In the meantime it seems that the M6600 battery has lost the battery charge level gauge which was on the M6500 and other batteries … seems like an unfortunate step backwards to lose the ability to check to how much charge a battery has without plugging it in and/or turning the computer on.

Two separate Dell reps assured me that even though it doesn't say "IPS" when configuring the display of my M6600, that the 17.3" UltraSharp™ FHD(1920x1080) Wide View Anti-Glare LED-backlit option definitely is. I was skeptical from reading this thread and other websites, but I thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt.

My notebook just arrived today, and I believe it is not an IPS screen :( Both of my desktop monitors are IPS (Dell U2410 and HP LP2480zx DreamColor) so comparing them makes me believe so. Is this the case? I hope not, I don't want to return this. Thanks.

Be dazzled why send it back just due to screen.. Also you mean January 2012 ips will be introduced.

I've asked multiple dell reps etc for this information and couldn't get any solid info. Is this definite? What is the source of your information?

Because of the work I do, there are many instances where I have to edit and finish videos while traveling, and I can't bring my 24" HP DreamColor wherever I go to color grade.
