ROFL. i dont have much of a choice, i didnt have an ultraportable until now, and i work across 3 time zones, this means i go to bed at about 5am a lot of the time. plus i prefer working sitting on the bed than the desk.

    Hello,

Which size is the Mini SSD inside the M4600? 128GB biggest available?

    I assume 1.8"?

    Thanks, Walter

I messed around with my W520 again last night. Just looking at the M4600, I have a hard time thinking it can be worse than the W520 so I'm sending the W520 back for sure today.

Well my Crucial C300 was giving controller errors in the event log and randomly switched between SATA 2 and SATA 3.

Mechanical drive the machine shipped with actually made certain elements of windows and applications quicker.

As I said maybe it was a bad machine. I just got the impression Lenovo had made so many optimisations to windows for battery life and power control they have adversly affected stability.

Are you talking about Mini PCI-E SSD? You'd want to take a look at Intel's Soda Creek series.

C300 is known for stuttering/freezing issues.

Hi guys I'm new here and great forum by the way! I'm also interested in buying a m6600 in the US and my question is are there any available coupons for bonus discount on it over the existing price? I scooped the net all around but can't find a thing :(

You think I can get a nice discount by doing that? Talked to a sales rep online and he told me that i can get a max of 50$ discount on the actual price of 2884$ w/o taxes since the "Save $622 on select Dell Precision™ M6600 through Dell Small Business" is already included...

Na, you can get a lot more... Talk to the small business section and ask them for a good price for your new 1 man start up....
