Saw someone elsewhere mention the 2 new Precisions would have a PremierColor option - does that automatically mean it's IPS?

Awesome, like the new look for the M4600. Looks a lot cleaner. USB 3.0?

Touchscreen seems a bit useless. Even if the levels of sensitivity could compete with that of a Wacom, it's not like the screen rotates and most CAD/modeling programs don't support touch interfaces.

Edit: Also, Orange M4600 would be awesome.

I found it funny that they don't offer the Quadros 5000M. Also, I hope HP will give the 8740w users one more saving grace by offering the M8900 to us??? Please?

I'm very curios to see the details on their offered GPUs. It's odd that Dell and HP now seem to be headed toward offering different Quadro FX models from one another.

But wouldn't that mean the 8760w would offer the same GPU option as the late-model 8740ws? If so, you can forget it, no way marketing would let that happen. Plus they would have to check driver updates on 2 systems, and they are already slow enough providing driver updates on one.

    I really hope the M6600 has a 2048x1152 or 2134x1200 option.
But due to the marketing-based stubbornness of LCD manufacturers, it's probably not going to happen :(

Edit: I just did some pixel-based math on the M6600 in the photo (based on the fact that the toolbar is 40px high), and it's only 1080p :<
Doesn't mean there won't be an option though

Sorry to burst your bubble... but no, it's not going to be an option since there is no panel maker that supports this resolution on that sized screen.

Personally, I like the option of having a touch screen. I only wish that notebooks all had the option of becoming tablets. I wouldn't mind having a large tablet (most are limited to 12", which I find too small). Maybe when OLED becomes more prevalent since the decrease in thickness for this will offset the increase in thickness in creating a durable rotating hinge.

So no removable optical drive with the new M4600 design, can't really tell from the pictures or if I'm even looking at the correct model.
The pictures of the Latitudes clearly show the removable module being there still

Maybe with a rotating hinge, but I'm still wondering what possible use there could be for a touchscreen without the hinge?
