Overall I like the looks if we ignore the 16:9 form factor (glad I won't be in the market for a while, though I realize 16:10 is now dead forever). The dark slab look is much more appealing to me than the multi-tone curvangular Lattitudes.

Is there only a single exhaust vent? That seems risky.

I for one like number pads. Especially on a 16:9 form factor, you have plenty of width, why not use it? (Also, I'm pretty sure workstations are not made for accounts, not that I know exactly what an accountant needs, but I kind of doubt it includes $1,000+ GPUs).

Stupid question here: Why is my NVIDIA GPU "1000 better" than the upcoming offerings from Dell? More importantly, what is HP going to do on their upcoming 8760w (why they skip 50 is another mystery). Maybe they'll add a half-gig of memory onto the newer 4000M and call it 5500M?

    mice m4600...but..it comes with a 9cell like the bigger m6600 ?

i've now a m4500 and i change it with a desktop i think but from a year i think to buy another m4500 or m4600

the good things are the chassis ( wonderful , like the m6600 ) , the speaker zone...the keyboard with numeric pad...the graphic and cpu ...and the double video out , hdmi-display-port...

    if there's II usb 3.0 and 1 internal + 1 external Sata3...it's amazing.

    and for last...

when the m4500 was announced they tel...bla bla bla...there's the rgb led display...but it doesn't comes with the "old" m4500....
if now , it comes , it's wonderful...a perfect machine.

Wait I see VGA, HDMI and DisplayPort on 1 laptop? I'm assuming you can only use 2/3 at the same time? Man those Precisions look nice as heck while the Latitudes are meh.

I prefer the 16:10 aspect screens. I'm interested in seeing complete specs. If anything catches my eye, I would be interested in parting with the M6500 that I just got.

Finally some updates on the precisions. Now I just need to see price and full specs. Oh yeah and the performance difference between each quadro.

You can use 1 digital and 1 analog at the same time. So either HDMI or Displayport + vga. Nothing new.

I've only got one source for this sofar, so I'm treading carefully here, but he said he was told these new models woud also come soon with an IPS LCD option.

Similar price to the HP upgrade - could it even be the same LD panel?

He was shown a lengthy presentation on the new lines, and this info was in it. Apparently he asked and got confirmation.

What? So they would just so happen to change to IPS panels in the middle? I find that hard to believe...and last I checked Dell hasn't had an IPS panel in a while, only HP and Lenovo still have 'em.

Still, HP's DC2 panels weren't available for the first few months either.
