No - you will also have to change the LVDS cable. See this post by dave-p for the M4700:

No. There are no current consumer MXM 3.0A cards, so your only choices are Quadro K1100M, K2100M, or Firepro 5100M (= Radeon 8870M). Not sure if you can swap from Quadro to Firepro without also swapping the heat sink.

Good luck getting that FHD cable...anywhere.

Dell does not have it , i have tried 3 Chinese suppliers who do not have it and are not sure when they will get it.

if you want to try , the cable PN is : 6G4XC

after talking to a dell tech , he said they cables are just in very short supply

I've gotten this keyboard problem on my m4800 as well.

Oddly enough, I have only noticed the problem on the '.' key. Typing IP addresses like 192..168.1..2 is a real pain. (It added the extra '.' for me there!)

The keyboard has otherwise been working great for me ever since I got my m4800 last year.

That would drive me nuts! Maybe ask for a replacement keyboard? I think someone said that cured a similar issue for them (many keys double typing, but otherwise the same).

Yeah, I posted about it, the double registering issue went away after I replaced the keyboard.

Not sure if anyone else is or has experienced this issue and was able to resolve it. What is happening, 2" of the screen on the left size dims on and off every once in a while, it happens during bios or in windows which is telling me that its hardware related. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

    Thanks!

    brkr,
I also had this problem, but with every key...randomly the hit was doubled...very annoying. However, four days ago I contacted Dell and stated my problem. And within three days they sent me a replacement for my keyboard. I can just say, that this was a very nice and good support, which I did not expect...reading the reports and problems some guys in this forum mentioned.
Now, the keyboard works flawlessly! So as alexhawker already told you, the replacement of the keyboard should do the job.

    Cheers,

    Alex

If anyone is wondering , the dock pr02x will do 4k through displayport @ 60hz

it gave me tons of problems , but they all seemed to have just sorted them selves out. (screen tearing , not working at 4k on intel)

    i used the samsung 28" 4k display.
