I'm looking for a good protective cover for my m4800. I spent all day yesterday changing the LCD back cover because it got dented and already the new one has got some scratches. Your prompt replies will be appreciated.

Bag? Sleeve? Something else? There are too many options without some guidance for what style you're looking for.

I have a bag that fits the M4800 very snugly, if that would work for you?

Ok.. i receive the memory sticks.. and the starting wasn't promising.. i mean.. looks like the machine is not recognizing at all those sticks... but even cant post the welcome logo of dell... and with the standards ones (32 gigs) is ok..
This mean there is no chance to use this memory? or should i try something else? like BIOS actualization or some
I checked in the Dell site and also the link submitted by iqball1975 (thanks BTW... i just didn't said that sir.. sorry for being rude..)

Just to add info.. i read in Intelligent memory site (FAQ) that only this dimms works with 5th Generation of Intel Processor which means Haswell.. when our laptop is equiped with Broadwell CPU (4xx0MQ) ... so i'm open to ideas... and thanks for your time..!!!

just a quick addition.. when i press power.. one blow of the fan.. and the three superior lights (storage, battery and wifi) keep on.. and no activity or signals of life in the laptop.. blank screen and silence..

16 GB SO-DIMMS do not work with Haswell machines - they only work with Broadwell machines. You guys need to do more research on this before advising people on purchases since 16 GB SO-DIMMS are very expensive. The M4800 uses Haswell CPUs - the 1st digit of the CPU model number begins with a 4. Broadwell = begins with a 5.

The M4800 supports up to 32 GB of RAM, using x4 8 GB SO-DIMMS.

The Haswell memory controller supports 16 GB SO-DIMMS, but the Memory Reference Code in the BIOS cannot address the modules properly. This is something that could be fixed in a BIOS update to enable all Haswell machines to use 16 GB SO-DIMMS, but the likelihood of this happening is 0.

Thanks for your post... so after a couple of trys... i can confirm your statement.. is not supported by the BIOS.. and i could manage to post the memory but only 8 gb of 64 where recognized by the BIOS and the utilities of DELL.. current test was successfully run but as you can see in the picture only one slot appears populated and only 8 gb where announced.

Beside this i was excited by the idea.. which is not good but nobody got harmed... so i will return the sticks and build another thing..

As experience.. no luck at all ..

Thanks again to all for the time to post ..

So does the m4800 only come in QHD+ or also a 4k option, are they all wired for the wigig 1601, I think from the parts list the lcd cover for the qhd+ has one for the wigig and one without?

Is the m4900 coming out soon. 64gb ram on the m4900 is very tempting and my w540 can hold me till the m4900 comes out.
