Can anyone comment on the responsiveness of touchpad scrolling and gestures inside a vm. Seems like anything I mapped, macro or keystroke works well but stuff like swipe next and previous and scrolling lag in a vm. This is just me trying it on a coworkers laptop, they didn't really notice it, but I'm peculiar to these things.

Well, I seemed to have fixed my M4800 battery problems with a recalibration.

Despite this, at roughly 1 year and 334 cycles I've already got 17% wear. Extremely disappointing in light of Apple rating their batteries for 80% charge at 1000 cycles!

Just curious, are you using the "ExpressCharge" feature? It's configurable in the BIOS, it is the default setting, and it wears out your battery faster.

I found one on ebay with a 7260 wifi card. But I want to put the 1601 card in, my last dell the 1601 cards were wired differently.

If their service tag has this part but with the 7260 wifi card I can assume a 1601 will be just plug and play.

Also is the AMD Firepro M5100 better or worse than the k2100m

Nope, ever since I've had the battery I've always set it to charge to 90%. Every month I'd fully charge it and do a partial discharge to 20%.

I avoid ExpressCharge completely as it's annihilated laptop batteries for me in the pst.

The OEM of my battery is Sanyo, and if it's anything like Sanyo ThinkPad batteries they just don't last compared to other OEMs.

There are newer MXM 3.0 Type A graphics cards. How does the Nvidia Quadro M2000M and the AMD Firepro W5170M compare to the Quadro K2100M & Firepro M5100?

What's the difference between the m4800 QHD+ (3200x1800) screen vs the 4k IGZO (3840x2160) screen besides the resolution?

    About 2.5 million pixel difference.

3840X2160 is the official 4K UHDTV standard resolution in the U.S with a 16:9 aspect ratio.

So, in a month when you throw out the old blu ray players, to buy the new Ultra HD Blu-ray player, and buy 4K discs to watch movies on a 4K TV, it will be in 3820X2160 resolution.
