Did you verify the SHA-1 hash for the ISO after you downloaded to check the file integrity?

MS publish the hashes right next to the download links.

    You can use HashCheck.

    Hi, i'm a proud owner of a M4800 since a few weeks.
It came with a FirePro M5100 and had alot of troubles with it.
Couldn't donwload drivers from the Dell site, so got the drivers from the AMD site.
After installing the drivers, everything lagged! scrolling is firefox was really bad. Like you had tearing.
Also programms like Adobe premiere pro were locked to the energy saving internal graphics. No option to select high performance for video editing.

With the Tech support from Dell i had a nice chat and i got the option to switch to the Nvidia K1100m. Now i'm enjoying my M4800 every minute.
Finally i am able to scroll without lag through pages in firefox and adobe premiere pro is running with the K1100m.
Maybe the K1100m performs worse than the M5100, but the system feels much snappier and faster with the K1100m for me at least.

*EDIT* I see you solved your problem. Don't you have the problems i had?

By any chance did you try a clean install of Windows (i.e. ISO from MS)? I find that OEM images are flaky at best.

I'm running a FirePro M5100 with the latest 14.12 Omega drivers under Windows 8.1. No problems at all.

Yes i did. I swapped the HDD for a SSD when i got the laptop. Also running a dual boot with Windows 7 & 8.
But do you have applications locked to a certain energy level?
But the weird thing, i tried the drivers from AMD and Dell, both after a clean install. Without the AMD drivers, everything runs smooth.
With the drivers it was laggy. Same experience on windows 7 or 8.

Any news about 3840x2160 panel? I've checked HP PremierColor reviews - still not a complete sRGB. It covers larger volume, but not inclusively with respect to sRGB.
