From the information so far, I don't think we are getting higher res, just updated internals and possibly discrete GPU in some models. HD5000 graphics all around.

Here Guy inserted lenovo IPS panel in his E6220 but with little cutting in plastics(it also was couple millimeters taller ). i think if you aer wiling to possibility to loose warranty than you can try to make little sacrifice and go for FullHD IPS display

Does anyone have a creative idea about how to make the "slippery" pointing stick better? I am kinda getting used to it but still missing the trackpoint of my Thinkpad... Am actually thinking of purchasing the Thinkpad nub and gluing it on the pointing stick...

Sorry for my poor English but, as I'm French, I understand that the product is not in stock and I think it is only a standard message, based on the delay they usually have to get a product from manufacturer. But in this case, as it is a new product not yet sold, I'm not sure the estimated delay make sense in this case.

I am guessing that they will keep the design. So nothing more than a processor update. Nothing really to even see here. MAYBE DDR4? But what's the schedule with Intel?

Broadwell U was officially launched today: Broadwell U arrives: Faster laptop CPUs and GPUs from Core i7 to Celeron | Ars Technica

Minor performance increases, reasonable battery increases. My real excitement with the 7450 is the discrete GPU if that turns out to be real...

I found this dell distributor's page which, forgive my google translate, DELL autoriseeritud maaletooja - DL Distributors | Uudised | Mida uut on oodata 2015 aasta alguses!

"In addition to the new processor, plus a laptop in a separate E7450 Nvidia graphics card option. It also increases the capacity of the SSD device - up to 512 GB. As Latitude 5000 series, 7000 series, plus the Latitude component selection 4G card. Of course, there is an integrated ID card"

it also has a render photo of the "new 7000" series although it looks the same to me: http://www.dldist.ee/userfiles/Image/uudised/7000_new.JPG

    More hints!!!

They removed the pointstick on the 14". Am I the only one who feels like that the pointstick is, no matter how crappy it is compared to the trackpoint of Thinkpad, just so much better than the trackpad? The trackpad is too awful. Why can't Dell make it just identical to XPS or Inspiron series????
