The laptop doesn't have switchable graphics, nor Nvidia Optimus.
Instead it has Nvidia PowerMizer. This technology downclocks the GPU to minimum speed to reduce power consumption greatly and reduce heat when nothing being in demanded form the GPU. Aero is light enough for the GPU to handle fine at minimum speed. As soon as you perform a lot of activity of rthe GPU, it will clock faster, and faster up to it's normal speed.

With the data you provided in this error, it sounds like you need to contact Dell and provide them with that memory dump for analysis.

All Dell Latitude laptops do not have switchable graphics. If you get the NVIDIA card you're using it all the time.

i5 , 2gb of ram, Intel Graphics, 250gb 7200 rpm drive. Fairly stripped down work machine. Blue tooth. Using it on a dock. Sometimes I go days without an issue and my coworker sometimes can do then he will get 5 lockups in one day. Real random. We are loading Win7 32 bit off a disk we have that I have loaded E6400 and E6500's with nad had no problems. I have tried swapping ram out etc. No luck. I just loaded two more the same way to see if they lockup. One of the machines here has only had one lockup in a couple weeks.

Is anyone else having massively long connection times when rebooting...i.e. establishing a wifi connection?

I've got an e6510, win7 ultimate 64-bit, intel 6300 N wireless card. Doesn't seem to matter what network I connect to, it does this at work, home, open networks at panera, etc.

Basically, on boot, it takes upwards of a 3+ minutes for it to reconnect and the whole system drags until that happens. Once it's connected, works great, I can sleep/suspend and it reconnects instantly on wake...it's ONLY during reboots.

I've poked thru all of the intel driver settings and can't think of anything else to check.

    Any thoughts?

    TIA,
    Chris

    Hi
It is possible to upgrade E6510 originally delivered with the Intel HD (only) to NVS 3100M?

    regards,
    Gregory

No, the GPU is soldered on the motherboard. So if you want to upgrade, you'll need a new motherboard.

Go to intel website and try Intel latest wireless drivers *uninstall the old ones first), if that doesn't help, then contact Dell, maybe your wireless card is broken, or the antennas are.

Are you sure it's the wireless at fault and not some other subsystem that's
dragging things down ? My E6410 (which I presume is very similar to your
E6510) also has the Intel 6300 and I'm repeatedly surprised at how fast it
connects during boot up. My wireless router is the D-link DIR-655 gigabit
    router.

Now, I also have the Dell Dock which I really like, but it takes forever to get
up and running and prevents anything else from running in the meantime...
