It looks like you are using Windows 7.
It hard to help people when there is a clear lack of official drivers and that Win7 is in Beta.
Try under Vista for now... if you can't get it to work, call Dell for some help... they might know some solutions, and be best to know if something is wrong at a hardware level.

Few people on this forum plugs something, anything on the display port. I plan to get a display with DP, but it's a computer monitor so no sound needed. And I dont' have a HDTV.. I still use my perfectly fine CRT TV. :)

I tried IRRT and AHCI and I couldn't see drive in Windows. Now, if the disk is unpartitioned, unformatted, what am I suppose to do to see the drive? I know that disk is being recognized and found because when I reboot my computer, I get option to setup RAID on OCZ drive (it shows 119 something GBs space on it).

note: my USB port is fine. Other USB external HDDs work fine on the same port.

Right click My Computer and click Manage. Scroll down to Storage and then Disk Management, is the drive shown there as an unpartitioned space?

Isn't your next step to clone the existing HDD onto the SSD? Whether or not you can see the SSD is irrelevant provided the cloning software can see it.

However, it should show up as a disk drive in Device Manager as well as in Computer Management.

open computer management, and go to disk management. right click where it says Disk 1/2/3 and click initialize if it is an available option. if it isnt, the disk is initialized. in that case, right click the unformatted partition and click format or create partition. once you have a partition, do a quick format with NTFS. let me know if you need to see a screenshot.

Having read a number of reviews etc. I purchased a M6400 "refurbished" which was in fact as new complete with 3 year Dell warranty. The computer runs my applications perfectly, handing CATIA V5 extremely well. Only complaints are the sharp edges on the wrist when typing and the BRICK of a power adaptor. The 210W now resides in the office and I used a 130W when travelling and at home. This seems to work fine as I do not have all the power hungry hardware. I did change the OS from Vista to XP. All the XP drivers are on the disks supplied, so no need to download from Dell. Also the "control centre" does also contain a number of drivers that are needed to get wireless working. Overall an impressive piece of kit that looks and feels the part.

The E6400 and M6400 are different systems... but the looks and quality are the same. Your system has much more power, hens the brick of power adapter.

The edges should not a concern.. it's because you don't know how to sit on in front of your system. I know it sounds offensive, but not many people do know how.. so don't (and I am not) surprised. Your front arm must be a 90degree with a arm. Your from arm must be at the same level at the keyboard. meaning that your palm is flat.. like if I put a ruler whee it no gap between your arm and your knuckles.

    Like so:

Your arm can be lifted a little more to the mentioned 90C, but not more. So you have to lower your desk, or increase the height of you chair. In such position, even if the laptop had razor blade all around it, it should not affect you, while using the system. Doing so is hard at first when you are not used to.. but it promotes blood flow, and PERSONALLY, I am able to work longer hours without being tired, and focus much better, and less tiered at the end of the day.

Well before you install Win7 64-bit, backup your stuff, of course.
After Win7 64-bit is installed go to Dell website and download Win7 64-bit drivers.
Then after that... well enjoy! :)
