hmm, I don't think he meant a screen shot... cause here you are showing how good your GPU can produce colors.
He meant take a good camera out, probably configure it for the environment to not alter the actually screen, and take a picture of the screen itself.

Hey guys, I decided to join the club and buy a used E6400. I have a couple of questions though. I did not get the restore CDs with the E6400 I bought and the restore partition has been removed. Will Dell send me the CDs if I ask? And two, anyone know were I can download the Dell wallpaper? Thanks.

i understand price might be a big factor, but given that the e6510 and e6410 were just released today, you ought to seriously consider returning your machine and buying one of the newer ones in a month once refurbished begin to come available.

as for the CDs, they will probably send them to you -- although is there a particular reason you want them?

I did not realize the new Latitudes were released today. (Been too busy to read the tech news today.) I will have to go check that out. But I did not spend much for it so I am not too concerned about that. I really intend on using it as a "filler" PC until I find something else.

It is not huge deal. I installed Windows 7 as soon as I got it. I was just wanting the Vista Business disk so if I decide to resell it in a few months I can restore it its original OS as I do not want to include my copy of W7 Pro with it.

EDIT: After looking at the E6410 I must say my first impression is of disappointment. Other than shedding weight and upgrading hardware there seems to be little change. The lighter weight would always be nice, and I am sure the Core processors would get get better battery life, but given that 90% of what I use my notebook for is web browsing there seems little reason to jump on a E6410 right now. But thanks letting me know. I might still do that down the road as the E6400 seems like a descent machine based on my first impressions.

i hear you on this, but it is pretty standard for a minor upgrade -- in fact, it is fairly substantial for dell on one of these upgrades -- i owned a d8x0 series machine through the years of upgrades, and it saw even less per iteration. the only thing i was really hoping for and didnt see on the new ones is usb3.0 -- although apparently that is the fault of intel, and not dell.
