Intresting, Althought I don't have the dock, I never had these issues under Win7 64-bit with every latest Geforce drivers, which I have been using since I got this laptop, under Vista and Win7.

You've been using lv2go drivers, right? these are fixes that are post whatever version was previously up, they aren't new to those drivers on lv2go.

Why would I use those? I just go on Nvidia.com and get the Geforce drivers from there, no hacks or anything. The Quadro NVS uses a G92 chip. It's a Geforce 9400M but with 256MB of dedicated memory, instead of using the system RAM. The real only difference is that you can choose between Quadro or Geforce drivers, where Quadro will be optimized for performance for CAD related software, while the Geforce for games.

ah, fair enough. and you might use those because it offers far more selection than nvidia.com. but either way, the improvements listed are only going from what dell had up 176.xx or something to 188.40 -- and the latest available drivers are 195/6.xx

and just to confirm, it fixes my problem with the aero disabling (win7basic) not working. they've changed the extended battery life mode around a lot.

Thanks. You save battery life with Aero Basic?!? I lose some (~15-20min less)

I also noticed that now Dell Control Point notification stop stealing focus from your program. :D

Ouuuu I like it! very nice! Nicely integrated into Windows... well not totally, but the power saving option are.

Ahh I knew it was too good to be true. Dell Control Point doesn't change power profile anymore, when you are plug-in or not.

Well what I did, is set "Extended battery life" to:
Well first I set it to not disable Aero when on battery, because as mentioned previously, Aero Basic make me lose battery life rather than gain some. But, set the "plug-in" options everywhere matching Balance profile. So, now I don't need to manually switch between profiles. I get my balance profile settings when plug-in, and my extended battery life when on battery.
