Haha. I played around with the links and I found the configuration for the E6400, which starts at $1,139. You can order and check-out and everything, for those of you looking to beat the general public by a few days. Unfortunately for me, my school isn't going to offer the E-series until next June, so I purchased a T7500 D630 for a year (I'll either sell or give away to family).

Anyway, the link (what you guys are waiting for, I know) is:

    http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?oc=BLCWEFP

Ok, next challenge of the night :D .....I have been playing with the model numbers trying to find the "product pages" and I am having no luck. By product pages I mean all the pages of pics and info that you get on the normal Dell site when you are in the Latitude section but before you click on the "configure" button. I am really just trying to find good pics of what the so called "Brushed Metal black" actually looks like and to see if they have any info on the new 160 graphics card.

From what I can tell with the configuration pages I have found so far, the product codes are as follows:

    E6400 ATG: BLCWGFP
    E6500: BLCWFFP
    E6400: BLCWEFP
    E5500: BLCWDFP
    E5400: BLCWCFP

So all you smarter then me (that means most everyone) lol Let me know what you find. :)

Hmm.. after pricing it out, the E6400/6500 is adding up to some serious dough. Backlit keyboard is a 49 dollar option... it doesn't even come with dvd writer, and standard hdd is a 160gb 5400rpm drive...

Thanks for the links! :) :)

I pre-configured a E6400 and E6500 and printed out the quotation for later reference... :wideeyed:

Got a question: I note a Mobile Broadband option which says 'AT&T built-in mobile broandband (HSDPA) with GPS'. Will this HSDPA module be available in other parts of the world so that it can be used on other mobile broadband networks running on HSDPA, or somehow it is locked only for use with AT&T?

    Good find.

It starts to get expensive once you go for a reasonable configuration. There's the usual Dell pricing strategy.

The starting date for delivery of the E6400 is mid-September.

It seems my screenshots that I posted are now not accurate (I had to adjust the links as well because I guess they fixed the loophole to prevent orders), so go by the links for pricing. E6400 at $1,139 and E6500 at $1,169. Edit: they caught on and you're unable to order them anymore (until launch I guess).
